Learn to make the perfect coffee
Prepare and Serve Espresso Coffee provides students with the opportunity to develop basic skills and knowledge required to make espresso coffees including café latte, cappuccino, flat white, mochachino, short and long macchiato, long blacks and ristretto. You will learn how to set up, operate, maintain and clean coffee equipment including the espresso machine and grinder. It is also a great course for those interested in making wonderful coffee at home.
Outline
Organise and prepare work areas.
Select and grind coffee beans.
Advise customers and take espresso coffee orders.
Extract and monitor quality of espresso.
Undertake milk texturing process.
Serve espresso coffee beverages.
Clean espresso equipment.
Entry Requirements
Pre-requisite unit: SITXFSA001 Use hygienic practices for food safety.
Students who already hold a current Food Handlers Certificate are required to present their current Food Handling Certificate as evidence on the first day of class. Participants are required to wear closed in, non-slip shoes to the training course.
Delivery
Face-to-face in a small group training environment.
Awards Issued
Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the Statement of Attainment for:
SITHFAB005 Prepare and Serve Espresso Coffee.
Duration
Training is scheduled over three days: 9, 10 & 17 March.
Location
Mossman.
Training may also be conducted on-site at your place of work, or a venue provided, in the Atherton Tablelands and Cairns. Contact us for more information.
