About this course

This skill set is for individuals working in various care and support roles wanting to develop the skills to assist people with a disability that display behaviours of concern.

The skill set has been endorsed by industry as appropriate for people who hold a qualification at Certificate III level or higher in an area involving provision of direct client care or support or have skills equivalent to the qualification requirement validated through recognition of prior learning process.

Entry Requirements

This skill set is suitable for individuals who hold a qualification at Certificate III level or higher in an area involving provision of direct client care or support.


Program delivery is face to face in a small group training environment.

This course may be delivered on demand.

Pathways Information

These units provide credit towards a range of qualifications in the CHC Community Services Training Package or HLT Health Training Package at Certificate III or IV level.


The course duration is dependent upon previous skills and experience gained in the industry area together with applicable credit transfer if this should apply.



Full fee: $597

You may be eligible for a subsidy under the Higher Level Skills program, funded by the Queensland Government, to assist in the cost of this course. The following co-contribution fees apply if the eligibility criteria are met.

Concession fee: $50
Non-concession fee: $100
