Aim

This course is designed for individuals who need to prepare for a vocational pathway qualification or further foundation skills development.

Outcome

It is suitable for those individuals with education, training and employment goals who require the following:

  • Prevocational pathway to employment and vocational training
  • Reading, writing, numeracy, oral communication and learning skills at Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) level 2
  • Entry level digital technology and employability skills

Career Opportunities

Upon successful completion, participants will have a prevocational pathway to employment and vocational training. Reading, writing, numeracy, oral communication and learning skills will have attained a Level 3 standard in accordance with Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF).  Entry level digital technology skills and employability skills will also be achieved and education, training and employment goals identified.

Entry Requirements

There are no pre-requisites for entry to this qualification, however it is recommended for participants to have level 1 ACSF across all core skills. FNTC also has the following selection criteria for this course.  The participant will be required before enrolling to complete a Language Literacy and Numeracy assessment to determine what level of support the participant may need to assist them through their study program.

 

Learning Support

All learners have access to a qualified trainer/assessor. At orientation participants will be provided with information they need to transition successfully into their chosen course of study. Trainers will also advise students of support services available.

Course Duration

The course will be conducted over 6 months and students can commence training at any time of the year. Study can be conducted part-time or full-time.

How to Apply

Students must complete an enrolment form and return to Far North Training & Consultancy with appropriate documentation.
