There are no pre-requisites for entry to this qualification, however Far North Training & Consultancy has the following selection criteria for this course. The participant will be required before enrolling to complete a Language Literacy and Numeracy assessment to determine what level of support the participant may need to assist them through their study program.
Program delivery can be face to face in a small group training environment located in Mossman. For participants under contract with the Australian Apprenticeship Centre and an Employer, delivery of training will be in the workplace.
**This course requires students to undertake 12 service periods in a Hospitality environment as part of their course.
Program duration for a full time student is an average of 12 months. Some students may complete the course in less time, however. Students must participate and attend 36 service periods in a Hospitality establishment.
The program can be delivered at Far North Training & Consultancy at 11 Johnston Rd, Mossman, or on-site at each individual employer’s venue in Far North Queensland.
Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the Qualification SIT30616 Certificate III in Hospitality.
This course requires students to undertake 12 service periods in a Hospitality environment as part of their course, therefore transport to the work placement is required. Students will also need suitable attire, white polo shirt, black shorts and enclosed black shoes.
